Anni ArroAnni Arro was born on March the 28th in 1983 in Tallinn. Already when she was quite small, she used to cook a lot at home. After finishing school she went to study cooking in Italy in a Slow Food cooking school. Slow Food is the opposite of Fast Food. The course was made up of various smaller courses specializing in wine, cheese, olive oil, salami and other trainings, how to tell a difference in quality and between different types. Cooking was done together with the best cooks in Italy and food traditions of different local regions where taught. Anni learned there, that pasta bolognese does not come from Bologna and that the right way to cook pasta is to leave it a bit crispy al dente. Pepe Zullo become a mentor for young Anni, he believed in her and in her cooking. Good food is easy to make if it is done with love and devotion! Anni has written several cook books that all became best sellers quickly, she has had her own cooking show on TV and in 2009 she became a small but an absolutely vital ingredient of Cafe Komeet in Tallinn. And she continues to be the soul of Anni's Cafe in Haapsalu. Anni is still dreaming about her very own eating place - hopefully this dream is not far from coming a reality.
